首先，张丰毅的丞相比较寒，总觉得张丰毅没有帝王像——虽然曹操是挂了之后顶个皇帝名，不过称帝的未必是帝王还有可能是白痴——所以怎么看怎么别扭。还有赵云的线条太粗了点，大概吴导脑子里的白袍白马银枪将就是这样的吧。关公的出场很有喜感，而且角色选的也比较失败，演个关兴差不多。张飞比较像钟馗地说……尤勇的皇叔也太草根了点。金混血的妖道造型还凑合，不过还是没有濮存昕更像妖道——我一直觉得小亮亮就是个妖道。梁影帝的大都督有点显老了，脑门的褶子别说蚊子，蟑螂都能夹死。甘兴霸操着一口不知道带着什么地方方言的口音说话，无敌得紧。林志玲一说话，我就有种想打人的冲动……张震的孙权倒也不算讨厌。侯勇比较赞，拿捏鲁肃这个人还算到位。赵薇，这部戏里她是喜剧演员吧。
回到前头，吴导演有了一些小包袱来表达自己的，比如读诗经的关公，练书法的张三，草鞋这段就算了，还有葵花点穴手的孙尚香。这些其实在他的那些老电影里都能找到。当然了，最容易找到还是跟他形影不离的白鸽——难道是他的宠物么？
