小组赛赛程全部结束了，世界杯的比赛场次也结束了四分之三，马不停蹄，好不喘息，直接进入淘汰赛阶段了。这次十六强只有六支欧洲球队，八强有且仅有三支欧洲球队——因为这六家捉对厮杀的；两支来自东亚的球队，日本和韩国，离开本土也是可以晋级的；南美丰收，除了传统的巴西、阿根廷外，乌拉圭、巴拉圭、智利都纷纷来凑热闹；北美那边美帝和墨西哥也算完成了常规任务；非洲代表是加纳，那个最节俭的加纳……
