2002年——韩国和日本联合举办的第十七届世界杯足球赛在汉城开幕，成为首次由两个国家联合举办的世界杯足球赛。

印象中，开幕最早的一届世界杯了。天朝很窘迫的参加了，然后很平静的被削了回来。当然了，这届杯赛最热的是罗纳尔多伤愈回归，完美收获金靴及冠军，第二热的就是南棒子用跑动和裁判连杀数支欧洲强队，历史性的杀进四强。
