一部可以打满分的电视剧。
首播后一年半，我又重温了一遍。很多人因为它被大陆禁播而抱着好奇的心态去看，并试图从中看出些想要的内容，那么这些人无疑是失望的。
从内容上来说，天与地的剧情还是比较简单的，以家明之死为线索，讲述了三男一女面对真相的生活态度。在我看来，这部剧更像是在讲三个男子面对中年危机时的选择。生活、社会、现实的残酷，无情的打击、摧残着三个男主角。随着剧情的展开，家明死因的真相已经不再重要了，重要的是，三个人发现自己已经被现实活生生的拍在墙上并砸扁时，如何面对、抉择、承担。
我不喜欢的一种解读是：家明之死代表八平方事件，三人对待这次事件不同的反应映射着三地对当年事件的印记：彻底遗忘、暴戾现实、行善逃避。我更倾向于认为：家明不是他们三人的好友，而是他们三人曾经纯真的理想，亲手杀死自己的理想带来的残酷是无法抹掉的印记；Yan也不是他们三人共同迷恋的女性，而是实现他们曾经纯真理想的人。他们面对Yan时的惭愧，不单单是亲手扼杀自己的理想，而是惭愧自己为何无法坚持自己的理想。
“ The city is dying ！”则是在告诉观众，扼杀理想的人不仅是三位男主角，也是都市生活下的每一个人。之所以是“ dying ”而不是“ dead ”，则是因为还有人保持着一份纯真。
从拍摄手法来看，这应该是TVB近年来少有的制作精良的剧集了。
一、多场长镜头的戏，是在电影里才能看到的。
二、无对白场景，一定程度上拖慢了剧情的发展，却有助于表现角色的心态。包括：三人在Yan伏案之时叠纸飞机；Yan多次独坐窗前，品饮红酒——很有村上春树小说的意境。
三、背景音乐的应用，片中大量音乐，虽说Beyond在这里有些过度消费，但很多国外摇滚作品的使用则开阔了观众的视野。黄贯中创作的片头曲狂放、爆裂，片尾曲则恰到好处点出全剧的主题。
