最后谈谈关于前锋。Total Soccer常规配置都是中锋+二锋或者叫影锋。两个位置分开来说比较明了一些。9号中锋位除了要直接打击对方球门外，要承担相当大的策应任务。换句话说，进不进球并非完美9号中锋的唯一标准，如何做好进攻中的轴，才是要攻克的难题。以禁区弧为圆心，拉空中卫，为制造10号突破空间；吸引边卫协防，配合11号或者7号内切；完成上述两项任务后，还要第一时间转身抹入禁区，时刻准备补射或者抢点包抄第二落点。不单要有稳定的进球率，也要有敏捷的捕捉战机能力，更要有良好的背身拿球能力，同时也要能准确传递各个位置的来球。10号位的作用主要为：利用9号位的拉空突破；在无球侧潜入禁区寻觅战机；适时后撤调度。能力上的要求比较单一，主要以突破、分球为主，但是专项要求更高，属于高精尖型球员。9号、10号除了担负着进攻任务外，还要配合边路球员实施反抢、围抢，依靠小范围人数优势，延缓对方进攻，为后防球员落位争取时间，甚至反抢成功后，立即投入进攻。
巴斯滕、克鲁伊维特当属9号位个中翘楚。古力特、博格坎普则对10号位有着完美的诠释。对比一下近几年我荷的其他前锋，霍伊顿克活动范围相对较小，主要是利用身体力量的强势，来完成空中打击，还有一脚相当好的任意球技术，算得上是常备替补。范尼在国家队是逐步进化、蜕变成Total Soccer的9号位，04年拘泥于禁区，08年则扩大了活动范围，自身进球率没有下降，更为后排及两翼球员增加了进球机会。马凯则是介于9号和10号之间，射术精湛，跑位灵活，但是突破和本身拿球能力不足，很难在国家队有更好的表现。哈塞尔巴因克多项能力是可以完成9号的任务，但是其进球率较低，射门精度无法和当时处于巅峰的K9相媲美。库伊特同样介于9号位和10号位之间，射术尚且有待开发，突破能力也不足，不过胜在活动范围大，奔跑积极，能够为其他球员拉出空档，觅得战机。范佩西则是10号位比较能够接受的人选，突破能力较好，奈何射术仍需磨砺，组织能力也稍逊一些。亨特拉尔来说，接应的主动性不到位，背身拿球能力稚嫩，是其尚不能担纲9号重任的主要原因。
好了，基本把Total Soccer各个位置都浅显的说了一下，要打出Total Soccer的精要，务求要有九个到十二个身体素质一流，基本功扎实的全能型球员。而就目前我荷的情况来看，整体身体素质不入流，基本功不沉厚，是很难达到Total Soccer这一全能足球的境界。或者说，没有井喷式的人才涌现，对于任何一个球队来说，实现Total Soccer都是一件很困难的事情。
